About

The New Entrants Course (NEC) is designed for experienced financial professionals who have been registered in countries—including the United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong and France—within the past three years and who wish to become licensed in Canada.

The program focuses on uniquely Canadian investment and regulatory topics with content derived from the Canadian Securities Course (CSC®) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH®) Course.

Please note that each province has its own registration requirements. It is strongly recommended that you check with your provincial regulator to determine your registration requirements before you enrol in the NEC.

What skills will you develop?

The New Entrants Course (NEC) assumes an established base of investment knowledge and looks at subjects from a Canadian perspective.

Who should enrol?

Enrol in the NEC if you want to be licensed in Canada and are licensed to sell securities, within the past three years, in any one of:

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Hong Kong
  • France
