The Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) has proposed changes to its proficiency rules including changes to the current mandatory courses offered by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). Under these proposed rules, subject to approval by the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), CIRO will be moving towards an assessment centric proficiency model for Approved Persons of Investment Dealers. The Investment Dealer Supervisors Course (IDSC) is the most comprehensive and up-to-date program available to investment and mutual fund dealers and is designed to prepare you with the practical skills required to maintain branch profitability and effectively supervise your staff. This course will help you meet CIRO requirements to become an Investment Dealer supervisor approved to supervise the business activities of other approved persons and mutual fund dealer branch manager proficiency requirements.

This course teaches the fundamentals of tier one supervision techniques, effective in overseeing Investment Advisors, Investment Representatives and Mutual Fund Salespeople. You will obtain the necessary skills and confidence to lead and inspire employees at all levels.
