What is the Research Associate’s role?

Research Associates work directly under Equity Research Analysts and are responsible for conducting both, macroeconomic as well as microeconomic research. They gather and analyze information to make stock investment recommendations on stocks within specific sectors. They are further responsible for developing, as well as maintaining detailed financial models to help explore alternate scenarios, examine industries, and communicate with various investors. In this position, associates gain an in-depth understanding of the financial and operational issues usually within a particular industrial sector.
